Bahrain’s Recent Diplomatic and Social Initiatives Highlighted

Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today focused on local events that happened over the past 24 hours.According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa engaged in a series of diplomatic meetings, including receiving the Indian External Affairs Minister and the family of the late poet Ali Abdulla Khalifa. The King also received numerous cables affirming loyalty and support from various Bahraini families.Further high-profile meetings included the Commander-in-Chief's engagement with the Interior Minister, reflecting ongoing governmental coordination. Bahrain also took a firm stance on international issues, condemning terror plots targeting Morocco. The Foreign Minister had discussions with his Saudi counterpart and received a candidate from Antigua and Barbuda for the position of UN Secretary-General.On the domestic front, the Municipalities Minister met with the chairman and board members of the Bahrain Property Developers Association, and the Industry Minister engaged with the Korean Ambassador. Additionally, the Social Development Minister met with the US Ambassador, indicating strong international ties.In technological advancements, the Justice Ministry, in collaboration with Benefit, launched a new electronic payment service aimed at facilitating enforcement claims and monthly maintenance. The Central Bank of Bahrain's Governor met with Bahrain Bourse officials to discuss regulatory enhancements to advance the Capital Markets Development Plan.An agreement was also signed between the Royal Humanitarian Foundation and the Jerusalem Empowerment fund to support the Bahrain Endowment for Education and Orphans. Furthermore, DANAT announced its new Board of Directors, marking a new chapter in its governance.
