Kuwait city: Lieutenant General Khaled Al Shuraiaan, Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, emphasized the critical need for protecting waterways and ensuring the safety of international navigation amidst current regional circumstances and security developments.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the remarks were made during Lieutenant General Al Shuraiaan's participation in the meeting of Chiefs of Staff of the Maritime Defence Coalition. The meeting, aimed at maintaining freedom of navigation in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, was held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where Lieutenant General Al Shuraiaan led the Kuwaiti delegation.
He further highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination among the participating countries. This collaboration is deemed essential for enhancing security and stability, and for ensuring the uninterrupted freedom of navigation in crucial waterways.
