Interior Ministry Announces Security Review Following Iranian Aggression

Manama: The Ministry of Interior has announced a comprehensive security and legal review in response to recent Iranian aggression, focusing on espionage cases involving foreign entities and incidents supporting attacks on the Kingdom. The investigation has revealed that those arrested have significant ties to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the ideology of Wilayat al Faqih.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry is conducting in-depth investigations to uncover the connections and motives behind these offences. The review encompasses unlawful activities linked to ideological and religious movements that exploit media outlets, social platforms, charitable organizations, and educational institutions, including schools and kindergartens.

The Interior Ministry has highlighted that these activities aim to propagate misleading ideologies and strengthen the influence of extremist beliefs with political motives, disguised under religious pretenses, across various community sectors. Despite ongoing state support and services to all citizens, such acts have been occurring, posing a threat to national security and public safety.

Authorities have emphasized addressing the fundamental causes of these violations and crimes, which they assert do not align with the national spirit or the values of Bahraini society. The Ministry has also called for increased community partnership, stressing the importance of public cooperation, social cohesion, and preserving national unity to safeguard the country’s higher interests.
