Parliamentary Division Executive Committee Holds Second Meeting

Manama: The Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division convened its second meeting, chaired by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, in his capacity as Chairman.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the committee affirmed Bahrain's firm position condemning Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom and countries across the region, emphasizing the need for an immediate halt to all hostile actions and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz due to its implications for international peace and security.

The committee commended the Kingdom's prudent policy under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, alongside the continued support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. It highlighted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' role in advancing Bahrain's diplomatic efforts and achieving tangible outcomes at various levels.

Members further praised the performance of Bahrain's parliamentary delegation, led by the Speaker, during the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union in Istanbul, noting its contribution to strengthening the Kingdom's parliamentary diplomacy presence on the international stage.

The meeting also reviewed key agenda items, including correspondence from Gulf, Arab, Islamic, regional, and international parliamentary bodies, as well as reports on recent external engagements.
