Interior Minister Engages in Strategic Dialogue with Former IISS Executive Chairman

Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Interior Minister, engaged in a significant meeting with Sir John Chipman, the former Executive Chairman of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS). Major-General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Deputy Chief of Police, was also in attendance during this pivotal discussion.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Interior Minister emphasized the critical role of such meetings in enhancing communication and the exchange of views. General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah commended His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's leadership in confronting Iranian aggression and managing its repercussions. The minister highlighted that the King's dedication to the Kingdom's identity, progress, and prosperity remains at the forefront of national efforts, reinforcing the framework of institutional and legal state pillars.

Furthermore, the minister acknowledged the proactive follow-up by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on various procedures, initiatives, and projects aimed at fostering national development. The Minister also expressed gratitude for the contributions of research institutions, noting how their advanced studies support decision-making and enhance engagement with rapid global challenges.

General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah praised the role of the IISS in fostering global peace and organizing strategic forums, notably the Manama Dialogue. This annual event serves as a vital platform for intellectual exchange on security and stability issues. The meeting also explored ways to enhance cooperation, develop joint initiatives, and share expertise while reviewing the latest regional and international developments.
