Interior Minister Commends Royal Order Declaring 2026 as “Year of Isa Al Kabeer”

Manama: General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, expressed his pride in His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Royal Order designating 2026 as the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer." This initiative recognizes the founder of the modern Bahraini state and celebrates the leader of the Kingdom's institutional development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah highlighted that the Royal initiative reflects His Majesty's commitment to preserving Bahrain's modern history and national heritage. This includes the project to revitalize Isa Al Kabeer Palace in Muharraq, supported and overseen by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The project is part of a broader effort to modernize and develop the Kingdom.

The Interior Minister emphasized that His Highness' era was characterized by principles and achievements that established security and stability, laying the groundwork for Bahrain's modern state. These efforts have reinforced Bahrain's national identity, which is deeply rooted in Arab and Islamic values.

He further noted that His Highness played a pivotal role in Bahrain's development, a legacy that His Majesty the King continues by guiding national progress and enhancing the Kingdom's regional and international stature while supporting ongoing development and governance.

Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah remarked that the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer" is a national occasion celebrating enduring values and achievements. It reflects a heritage and national vision that Bahrain continues to honor with pride.
