HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Meets U.S. UN Representative at Gudaibiya Palace

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received Ambassador Michael Waltz, the U.S. Representative to the United Nations, today at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting underscored the depth of relations between Bahrain and the United States, emphasizing ongoing enhancements across sectors of mutual interest.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness highlighted the shared commitment to strengthening the Bahrain-U.S. strategic partnership. This commitment involves building upon cooperation and agreements, notably the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA). The discussion also touched upon the United Nations' role in advancing international cooperation and addressing global challenges.

His Royal Highness expressed appreciation for the cooperation between the United States, Bahrain, and allied countries through the United Nations system. He emphasized the importance of enhancing this collaboration to support international efforts aimed at global security, stability, peace, and development. The bilateral partnership between Bahrain and the US was recognized for its role in countering Iranian aggression and promoting international peace and security.

The meeting also included discussions on issues of common interest, potential avenues for cooperation, and the latest regional and international developments. Attendees included HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, HE Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and Ambassador Jamal Fares Alrowaiei, Permanent Representative of Bahrain to the United Nations.
