Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received the leaders and representatives of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states at Al Sakhir Palace, marking the commencement of the 46th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit hosted by the Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, upon their arrival at the Bahrain Summit venue, His Majesty extended a warm welcome to distinguished guests, including His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah of Kuwait, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE, and His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani of Qatar.
His Majesty expressed his sincere wishes for the summit’s success, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the GCC’s collective framework and enhancing coordination among member states to fulfill the shared aspirations of their peoples for development and prosperity.
The visiting dignitaries expressed their appreciation for the hospitality extended to them and wished for a successful summit under His Majesty’s leadership. A formal group photograph followed their arrival, and the leaders proceeded to the main summit hall, greeted by students from Bahrain’s Ministry of Education schools. The event also featured a traditional Bahraini Ardha performance to celebrate the occasion.
