Manama: Nasser bin Abdullah Al Nassr, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressed sincere appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the condolences and heartfelt sentiments extended following the passing of His Highness the Father Amir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Al Nassr also expressed appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, members of the Royal Family, senior officials of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and all those who offered condolences to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar.
In a statement, Ambassador Al Nassr said Bahrain's support at the leadership, government and people levels reflects the deep-rooted fraternal relations and longstanding historical ties between the two countries and their peoples.
He also expressed appreciation for Bahrain's declaration of mourning and the lowering of flags in honour of the late Father Amir, describing the gesture as a reflection of the strong and enduring ties between the two countries.
The ambassador further thanked those who offered condolences at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in the Kingdom of Bahrain, including senior officials, members of the diplomatic and consular corps, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions and international organisations, dignitaries, business leaders, parliamentarians, media representatives, and citizens and residents.
He said these sincere expressions of sympathy and solidarity would remain deeply appreciated by the leadership, government and people of the State of Qatar.
