Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (37) of 2026 appointing two Assistant Undersecretaries at the Ministry of Labour, following a proposal by the Minister of Labour and the Cabinet's approval.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Article (I) of the decree appoints May Hassan Ali Al Asmi, previously Director of Labour Relations at the Ministry of Labour, as the Assistant Undersecretary for Labour.
Article (II) designates Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, former Director of the Wages Protection Directorate at the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, as the Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Relations. He succeeds Aqeel Abdali Bu Hussain in this role.
Article (III) states that the Minister of Labour is responsible for implementing the decree's provisions, which take effect immediately upon issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
