Gulf Air Tops Punctuality Rankings in Middle East and Africa for September 2026

Jakarta:Gulf Air, the national carrier of Bahrain, has been ranked first in the Middle East and Africa for on-time arrivals for the second consecutive month.

According to Bahrain News Agency, this ranking is based on the September 2026 report issued by Cirium, an independent aviation analytics provider. Gulf Air achieved an on-time arrival rate of 92.90%, moving up from second place in August.

The airline's on-time arrival rate improved by 0.43 percentage points, rising from 92.47% in August to 92.90% in September. It also recorded strong performance in other operational indicators, with an on-time departure rate of 91.58% and 83.02% of its flights completed within scheduled block time.

Among the five airlines listed in Cirium's operational highlights for the region, Gulf Air had the highest flight completion rate of 99.44% across a total of 4,089 flights in September. These results underscore Gulf Air's consistent operational performance and the efforts of its operations, engineering, ground services teams, and flight crews in maintaining high levels of punctuality and reliability.
