Bahrain Achieves Ninth Consecutive Tier 1 Ranking in Anti-Human Trafficking Efforts

Jakarta:The Kingdom of Bahrain has retained its Tier 1 status in the US Department of State's annual Trafficking in Persons Report for the ninth consecutive year, as announced by Major-General Abdulaziz Mayouf Al Rumaihi, Director-General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science.

According to Bahrain News Agency, this achievement highlights the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Al Rumaihi expressed his appreciation to General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, and Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Police, for their continued efforts to bolster security operations.

The Anti-Human Trafficking and Public Morals Protection Directorate in Bahrain is actively involved in combating human trafficking, apprehending perpetrators, and protecting victims through coordination with relevant authorities. A 24-hour hotline, 555, and an email address, [email protected], are available for reporting suspected cases, with confidentiality assured.

Ongoing initiatives include awareness campaigns, training programs, and international cooperation to prevent human trafficking. Al Rumaihi recognized the contributions of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons and the personnel of the Anti-Human Trafficking and Public Morals Protection Directorate and Criminal Media Division.
