Manama: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received Dr. Maria Luisa, Head of the Mediterranean, Middle East and Africa Programme at the Institute of International Affairs.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on topics of mutual concern, particularly the relationship between the GCC and Italy, and the importance of enhancing communication and cooperation between GCC states and the Italian Republic. Discussions included several proposals and initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation between the GCC states and the Institute, involving practical programmes and activities.
Both parties emphasized the importance of de-escalation in the region and the promotion of security and stability through diplomatic efforts and constructive dialogue.
