Manama: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), condemned in the strongest terms the Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the targeting of infrastructure and civilian facilities, which resulted in injuries to a number of civilian workers in Kuwait. According to Bahrain News Agency, Iran's actions represent a highly dangerous escalation and constitute a grave violation of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and war crimes requiring international accountability, due to the deliberate targeting of infrastructure and civilian facilities in violation of international norms and conventions and continued efforts to undermine regional security and stability.
He stressed that the GCC stands with Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, supporting all measures they take to safeguard their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. He also wished the injured in Kuwait a speedy recovery.
