Foreign Minister Meets Czech Counterpart to Discuss Regional Security

New york: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Petr Macinka, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, on the sidelines of the UN Security Council meetings. The discussion centered around key regional developments, particularly the recent Iranian attacks on Bahrain and other GCC countries.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministers addressed the potential ramifications of Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz on international navigation. They explored the implications for the global economy, including energy and food supplies. The dialogue emphasized the importance of ongoing efforts to ensure the success of US-Iran negotiations, which are being mediated by Pakistan, and to maintain maritime security in the strategic Strait of Hormuz.

The meeting was also attended by Jamal Fares Al Ruwaie, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, along with the accompanying delegation.
