Manama:Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Bastian Giegerich, the Director-General and Chief Executive of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), alongside Air Marshal Martin Sampson, the Institute's Executive Director.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Zayani congratulated the IISS on the successful completion of the 22nd IISS Manama Dialogue 2026. He commended the event for its high-level international participation and the substantive discussions that addressed key regional and international challenges.
Dr. Al Zayani highlighted the collaboration between the Institute and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in organizing the forum, which brought together senior officials, policymakers, and experts to exchange views on promoting regional and international peace and security.
Dr. Giegerich expressed his appreciation for the cooperation with the Ministry, emphasizing the joint efforts to enhance the Manama Dialogue as a preeminent regional platform for open and constructive discussions on political and security issues. The meeting also explored ways to further develop cooperation and reviewed the key outcomes of the 22nd Manama Dialogue.
