Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, commended His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Royal Order designating this year as the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer", in recognition of the founder of the modern state and the leader of the Kingdom of Bahrain's institutional development, His Highness Isa Al Kabeer, Ruler of Bahrain and its Dependencies.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa stated that the Royal directive reflects His Majesty the King's respect for Bahrain's devoted leaders and acknowledges the lasting impact of His Highness' contributions in establishing the foundations of the modern state, ensuring its stability and growth.
The Finance Minister noted that the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer" is a national occasion that highlights the legacy of the Kingdom's historic figures, inspires values of service and dedication, and reinforces loyalty and national identity.
He highlighted the ongoing development and cultural projects in the city of Muharraq, which reflect His Majesty the King's vision to preserve Bahrain's deep-rooted identity. He commended the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for supporting these initiatives which strengthen Muharraq's historical and cultural significance.
Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa expressed pride in this Royal initiative and wished Bahrain continued security, progress, and prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty the King.
