Finance Minister Engages with Arabian Gulf University President

Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, received Dr. Saad bin Saud Al Fuhaid, President of the Arabian Gulf University (AGU). Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education, was present at the meeting.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa underscored the significant role of higher education institutions in readying a skilled workforce to bolster multiple sectors. He stressed the necessity for educational bodies to stay abreast of the latest methodologies and practices while embracing innovation and development. This approach aims to enhance workforce readiness and fortify their contribution across all sectors.

The Finance Minister also accentuated the university's pivotal role in promoting the shared educational ambitions of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations. This is achieved through AGU's academic and research ventures, alongside its ongoing efforts to graduate medical professionals who play a crucial role in advancing healthcare systems throughout the GCC.

Additionally, the meeting explored avenues to bolster cooperation in support of development initiatives and the achievement of common objectives.
