Awali:In celebration of National Tree Week, the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies, known as Derasat, organized a tree planting event at its headquarters in Awali. The event was attended by the center's CEO, Abdulla Mohamed Alahmed, and aimed to support national efforts to enhance green spaces and boost environmental awareness.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Abdulla Mohamed Alahmed emphasized that Derasat's involvement in Tree Week underscores the role of research institutions in promoting sustainability awareness. By connecting knowledge with both institutional and community initiatives, Derasat contributes to the country's goals of protecting natural resources and achieving environmental objectives.
Derasat staff further stressed the importance of both individual and collective actions in bolstering environmental efforts. They highlighted the necessity of nurturing trees and green spaces and fostering a sense of shared responsibility for environmental conservation and sustainability.
