Manama: Bahraini daily newspapers today highlighted significant local events over the past 24 hours, with a strong focus on Eid Al Adha celebrations and diplomatic engagements involving the country's leadership.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HM King exchanged Eid Al Adha congratulations with leaders from Gulf, Arab, and Islamic nations. This diplomatic outreach extended to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who also exchanged greetings with GCC, Arab, and Islamic leaders, as well as Crown Princes and Prime Ministers. Additionally, HM King received congratulations from senior Royal Family members and state officials on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
In a gesture of goodwill, HM King issued a decree pardoning 226 inmates in celebration of Eid Al Adha. This decision was met with affirmations of loyalty and support from Bahraini families, who sent further cables to the King.
On the international front, Bahrain's Foreign Minister delivered a speech at the UN Security Council debate, focusing on the principles of the UN Charter. Meanwhile, the Electricity Minister represented Bahrain at the 4th High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action, "Water for Sustainable Development," held in Dushanbe. During the conference, the Electricity Minister met with the President of Tajikistan on the sidelines of the event.
