Jakarta:Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, the Minister of Social Development, presented Bahrain's initiatives in social protection, care, and empowerment to visiting ministers from the UAE, Kuwait, and Oman.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the visiting ministers included Dr. Laila bint Ahmed bin Awad Al Najjar from Oman, Dr. Amthal Hadi Haif Al Huwailah from Kuwait, and Sana bint Mohammed Suhail from the UAE. They toured various centers and projects managed by Bahrain's Ministry of Social Development.
The visit featured stops at the Social Welfare Centre, where the ministers observed facilities offering integrated social, psychological, and healthcare services. The delegation was also informed about the Child Protection Centre's efforts in safeguarding children and addressing cases according to established procedures.
The group visited the Mubarak Jassim Kanoo Comprehensive Social Centre, reviewing its production units and training workshops designed to enhance beneficiaries' skills and productivity. They were briefed on the centre's main initiatives and services.
At the Capital Mall, which showcases Bahraini handmade products, the ministers learned about programs designed to support productive families, including facilities for displaying and marketing products. The visit also highlighted Bahrain's strategies for sustaining family businesses.
This visit was part of a broader effort to foster cooperation and share expertise between Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, and the UAE in the field of social development, with a focus on enhancing social services and strengthening systems of protection, care, and empowerment.
