Tashkent:Mohammed Ali Janahi, President of the Bahrain Sambo Federation, and Fahad Nabeel Taqi, Vice President, participated in the General Assembly of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS) held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by representatives from 100 countries and coincided with the 50th World Sambo Championships. The assembly focused on reviewing administrative and financial reports and discussing plans for the international development of Sambo.
In addition, FIAS appointed renowned mixed martial arts figures Fedor Emelianenko and Islam Makhachev as World Sambo Ambassadors. The Kingdom of Bahrain is actively participating in the World Sambo Championships, which have attracted over 750 competitors across various weight categories.
