Manama:Nabeel bin Yaqoob Al Hamar, Advisor to His Majesty the King for Media Affairs, has inaugurated Bahrain's first Children's Book Fair at the Safeya Ali Kanoo Hub for Arts. The event is organized by the Bahrain Trust Foundation in collaboration with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Hamar, along with other attendees, toured the fair to explore a diverse selection of children's literature provided by both local and international publishers and bookstores. The fair is designed to offer children and families a broad spectrum of books and stories that cater to various age groups and interests, alongside cultural and artistic activities.
Al Hamar expressed gratitude for the late Safeya Ali Kanoo's contributions and her support for the arts building, which now serves as a venue dedicated to children's culture and arts. The space aims to bring families together through books and creative endeavors.
The Children's Book Fair is scheduled to run from September 23 to October 3, featuring participation from several publishing houses and bookstores, alongside a program of activities tailored for children and families.
