Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed strong condemnation and denunciation of the renewed Iranian missile attacks targeting the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Bahrain labeled these actions as a violation of Jordan's sovereignty and a direct threat to its security, stability, and the safety of its civilians.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that these attacks are in contravention of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817. The Ministry highlighted that such actions undermine efforts to reduce tensions in the region.
The Ministry emphasized Bahrain's full solidarity with Jordan and expressed unwavering support for all legitimate measures taken by Jordan to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. It praised the Jordanian Armed Forces for their efficiency and readiness in intercepting the missiles and preventing the attacks, showcasing their ability to protect the Kingdom and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.
The Ministry reiterated Bahrain's call for the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to take decisive and urgent action. It urged Iran's compliance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations, called for an immediate cessation of hostile attacks, and demanded an end to Iran's support for militias and proxy groups in the region. The Ministry also underscored the importance of securing maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and other crucial waterways to support regional de-escalation, security, and stability.
