Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain has voiced strong condemnation and denunciation of the escalating terrorist attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia. These attacks, aimed at civilians and civilian objects in Riyadh and other cities such as Baish, Taif, Farasan, and Yanbu, are deemed a violation of international law, international humanitarian law, the UN Charter, and relevant Security Council resolutions.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Bahrain's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, pledging complete support for all measures taken to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability. The Ministry highlighted that Saudi Arabia's security is integral to Bahrain's national security. The Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces were commended for successfully intercepting and destroying a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia towards Riyadh.
The Ministry reiterated Bahrain's call for the Security Council to adopt a firm stance against the repeated Houthi attacks on civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia. It urged the Council to hold the perpetrators accountable and to implement relevant resolutions, with a focus on Resolution 2216.
