Justice Ministry Upgrades Digital Service for Detailed Statements of Minors’ Funds

Manama: The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf has upgraded its digital service for issuing detailed account statements for persons under guardianship, cutting processing time from 13 working days to just one.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the service, available through the National Portal of the Kingdom of Bahrain (bahrain.bh), has also reduced the required documentation by 50 percent and the service-level agreement timeframe by at least 25 percent. The application process has been streamlined to a maximum of four steps, with the service now fully digital.

The upgrade also includes improvements to the user interface and experience, a 25 percent reduction in the approvals required, electronic application forms, and standardized service information across all channels. Abdulrahman Issam Abdullah, Director of the Minors' Funds Department at the Ministry, said the service enables users to obtain a detailed statement covering the financial information and transactions associated with an account over a specified period.

Beneficiaries can access the service through the National Portal by selecting Court and Legislation Services, then the relevant service under services for minors. Access is available through the Basic Level eKey or the enhanced eKey 2.0.

The ministry said the upgrade forms part of wider government efforts to improve and re-engineer public services. More than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, while around 800 have undergone development and re-engineering across various sectors.

The initiatives draw on feedback received through the national Tawasul Suggestions and Complaints System, investor feedback, and mystery shopper assessments, alongside the introduction of service guides and service-level agreements to improve efficiency, service quality, and the beneficiary experience and support government digital transformation.
