New York:Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations at Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Ambassador Donald Blome, Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs at the US Department of State, during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ambassador Shaikh Abdullah emphasized Bahrain's appreciation for its longstanding relationship with the United States, highlighting the US as a strategic ally and key partner. He commended the support provided by the US across various fields, which underpins the strong bilateral ties between the two nations.
The discussion between the two ambassadors focused on enhancing cooperation and coordination in areas that support mutual interests, as well as regional and international security and stability. They also addressed current regional challenges, stressing the importance of continued diplomatic coordination and consultation in international forums.
