Amir of Qatar and UK Prime Minister Discuss Strategic Cooperation

Manama: His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, received a telephone call from Andy Burnham, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the call discussed strategic cooperation between the two countries and means to support and develop it across various domains, as well as the strength of these relations in serving their mutual interests and enhancing the existing partnership.

Both sides also discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip, and diplomatic efforts to reduce escalation and consolidate security in the Middle East.

They stressed the importance of continuing dialogue and diplomatic means to address regional issues and support international efforts aimed at consolidating peace, contributing to ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and preserving the security and stability of the region and the world.
