Manama:Gulf Air, the national airline of Bahrain, has entered into a significant partnership with the Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah) through an Investment and Transaction Advisory Framework. This agreement aims to provide Gulf Air with insights regarding the valuation and strategic management of its international real estate assets.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the framework was formalized during the Gateway Gulf 2026 event with the signing by Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Air, and Khaled Abdulrahman Al Majed, Chief Executive Officer of Edamah. This initiative will involve Edamah conducting independent assessments of Gulf Air's overseas properties, partnering with licensed specialist firms to ensure market-based evaluations.
The collaboration underscores Gulf Air's strategy to concentrate on its core aviation operations while optimizing its asset portfolio for long-term growth. Martin Gauss highlighted the importance of this partnership in supporting informed strategic decisions about the airline's property assets, emphasizing the role of national companies in aligning with broader national priorities.
Khaled Abdulrahman Al Majed noted that Edamah's advisory expertise would be instrumental in maximizing the value of Gulf Air's international real estate holdings. He mentioned that the process would be thorough and objective, undertaken in collaboration with local specialists, to fulfill the mutual goals of both companies. This partnership is seen as a step towards bolstering Edamah's reputation as a strategic advisory partner and fostering economic growth both locally and regionally.
