Manama:Shaikh Khalid bin Ali bin Jaber Al Khalifa, the Deputy to the National Security Advisor and Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, met with Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, the United Kingdom's Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa, during the 22nd IISS Manama Dialogue 2026.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on the longstanding ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, emphasizing the steady growth of their partnership, particularly in the fields of defence and security.
Shaikh Khalid highlighted the significance of enhancing the strategic partnership through closer cooperation and coordination. The discussion also covered areas of cooperation, opportunities for strengthening them, and an exchange of views on regional developments and challenges.
Both parties stressed the importance of ongoing consultation and coordination on issues of mutual interest to support regional security and stability.
