Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Stephanie Hallett, Ambassador of the United States of America to Bahrain. Al Musallam affirmed that the historical ties between Bahrain and the United States continue to advance across all areas, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency Donald Trump, President of the United States, and the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam highlighted the strategic partnership supporting Bahrain-US ties and joint agreements, including the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement, which contribute to achieving the aspirations of both countries and promoting the interests and development of the two countries and peoples.
The meeting discussed current regional and international developments, developments in the region, and the repercussions of the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain, GCC countries, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, as well as the risks of closing the Strait of Hormuz to international navigation.
Additionally, the discussion included means to strengthen parliamentary cooperation and coordination, and efforts to achieve security, stability, and comprehensive development.
