MP Hassan Ibrahim Engages with Global Leaders at IPU Conference in Uzbekistan

Samarkand: MP Hassan Ibrahim Hassan, a prominent member of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Bureau of Young Parliamentarians and representative of the Arab Group, engaged in a high-level meeting with parliamentary and United Nations leaders during the 12th IPU Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians held in Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by influential figures including Dr. Tulia Ackson, President of the IPU; Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairperson of the Senate of Uzbekistan; and Felipe Paullier, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs. Discussions centered around the conference's programme of work, key issues on its agenda, and strategies to enhance young people's participation and impact in addressing international changes.

MP Hassan underscored Bahrain's commitment to promoting coexistence, openness, and dialogue, emphasizing peaceful solutions to global challenges. He highlighted the importance of empowering youth, asserting their role not just as passive recipients but as active partners capable of influencing global changes. He advocated for their increased presence in parliamentary institutions and international platforms.

MP Hassan's unique participation in the meeting, alongside senior parliamentary and UN leaders, underscores his significant role within the Bureau of Young Parliamentarians of the IPU.
