Manama: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain met with Dr. Afrah Abdulaziz Al Zoba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs of the Republic of Yemen, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two nations. The Bahraini Minister congratulated Dr. Al Zoba on her new role, expressing support for Yemen's diplomatic efforts and affirming Bahrain's commitment to aiding Yemen in achieving stability and prosperity.According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Bahrain, Dr. Al Zoba expressed her appreciation for Bahrain's supportive role towards Yemen and emphasized the historical ties between the two countries. She highlighted the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation, particularly in areas of economic, trade, and development, which are of mutual interest to both nations. Discussions also covered regional developments, particularly concerning maritime navigation safety in the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandab Strait, and their impact on international trade and the global econom y.The meeting included a review of the political and security situation in Yemen and efforts within the United Nations framework to reach a peaceful resolution. Both parties addressed the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Yemeni people and explored issues of common interest at regional and international levels.Following the discussions, Dr. Al Zoba visited the Al Madar Center at the Ministry, where she was briefed on its functions in monitoring and analyzing regional and international events. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ali Hassan Al-Ahmadi, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Bahrain, and Ambassador Nawaf Abdullah Al-Mutawa, Acting Chief of the GCC Affairs.
