Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, today made a visit to the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF). His Royal Highness was welcomed by His Excellency Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Commander-in-Chief of the BDF, along with several senior officers.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness emphasized the BDF's advanced capabilities and combat readiness, acknowledging the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. He highlighted the competence of BDF service members in defending the Kingdom and maintaining its sovereignty. His Royal Highness praised the dedication of BDF personnel, noting that their integrated efforts with military, security, and civilian sectors have played a vital role in protecting the Kingdom's citizens, security, and stability.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad expressed his pride in the Bahrain Defence Force, the National Guard, the Ministry of Interior, and all military, security, and civil authorities for their readiness in defending the Kingdom and contributing to its development initiatives. During the visit, His Royal Highness was briefed on strategic plans aimed at enhancing the BDF's weapons and units, improving personnel efficiency, and equipping them with the latest military systems.
His Royal Highness acknowledged that the advanced levels achieved across all BDF units are the result of the persistent efforts of HE Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
