Manama: Her Excellency Dr. Jalila bint Sayyid Jawad Hassan, Minister of Health, chaired the third meeting of the National Taskforce for Combating Chronic (Non-Communicable) Diseases for the year 2026. The meeting focused on enhancing coordination among health entities and strengthening preventive and awareness programs.
According to Ministry of Health - Bahrain, the Minister emphasized the significance of these efforts in promoting public health and improving the quality of healthcare services. The meeting reviewed updates to operational plans and approved preventive programs. It also evaluated the progress made in initiatives aimed at combating chronic diseases.
The task force further discussed the report from the National Program for Early Detection of Colorectal Cancer, highlighting efforts to raise awareness about the importance of screening and early detection.
