Manama: Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayed Jawad Hasan, Minister of Health, chaired the third meeting of the National Taskforce on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases for 2026. The Health Minister underscored the necessity of sustained collaboration among health entities and the enhancement of preventive and awareness programs. This aims to support national efforts to promote public health and improve healthcare services offered to society.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed updates on previously approved operational plans and preventive programs. It also assessed the progress in implementing initiatives focused on the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases. Furthermore, discussions were held on the report of the National Colorectal Cancer Early Detection Programme, emphasizing community awareness on the significance of screening and early detection.
