Manama: The Institute of Public Administration and the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) have launched a collaborative programme designed to elevate awareness and enhance the knowledge of Bahrain's national workforce in the fight against human trafficking. This initiative aims to promote social justice through targeted training initiatives and institutional development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, the Director General of the Institute, emphasized that the success of any institution hinges on empowering its workforce. She highlighted that training has transitioned from being an optional development tool to becoming a crucial driver of institutional efficiency and sustainable performance. The newly launched programme, in partnership with the LMRA, seeks to prepare the national workforce by improving professional and institutional practices in protection and social justice, ultimately boosting institutional capacity to support national efforts against human trafficking.
Nibras Talib, Chief Executive of the LMRA and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, stated that the programme is a testament to Bahrain's dedication to raising awareness and implementing international best practices in the fight against human trafficking. He emphasized that this initiative aligns with national efforts to safeguard human rights by building capacity and fostering sustainable institutional practices.
Talib further noted that Bahrain remains committed to combating human trafficking, driven by a national vision that prioritizes people. The country continues to focus on strengthening protection, increasing awareness, building capacity, and advancing the institutional framework through ongoing initiatives.
