HH Shaikh Nasser Congratulates Egyptian President on Historic Equestrian Achievement

Manama: His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, extended his congratulations to His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, following the remarkable achievement of Egyptian rider Mahmoud Samir El Gharib. For the first time in Egyptian equestrian history, El Gharib has qualified to compete in the World Endurance Championship.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad has pledged support to Mahmoud Samir El Gharib by developing a comprehensive training program aimed at preparing him for the World Endurance Championships. This initiative ensures optimal technical and administrative conditions for the rider. It is part of the sports cooperation agreement between Bahrain and Egypt, which seeks to enhance mutual cooperation in sports, particularly in endurance riding. This agreement also aims to foster sporting talent and facilitate the exchange of expertise between the two nations.

His Highness highlighted that this achievement aligns with Bahrain's strategy to support Arab countries by transferring technical and administrative expertise and enabling Arab riders to excel at international levels. This initiative is seen as a step forward in advancing Arab endurance riding.

HH Shaikh Nasser expressed his confidence in Mahmoud Samir's potential to deliver an outstanding performance at the World Championship. He wished the rider ongoing success and anticipated further accomplishments for Egypt in international sporting venues.
