Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received the chiefs of staff of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states' armed forces, along with the Assistant Secretary-General for Military Affairs of the GCC, the Commander of the Unified Military Command, and the newly appointed Assistant Secretary-General for Military Affairs. This meeting followed the Military Committee meeting of the Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of the GCC member states held in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the representatives conveyed greetings from the GCC leaders, extending their best wishes for the ongoing progress and prosperity of Bahrain and its people. His Majesty King Hamad welcomed the officials and reciprocated with good wishes to the GCC leaders, expressing hopes for continued progress and prosperity for their peoples.
His Majesty expressed his appreciation for the chiefs of staff's efforts in enhancing cooperation, coordination, and integration among GCC countries in military and defence matters. He noted their unified stance in confronting threats to the region's security and stability and wished them success in their duties.
His Majesty commended the crucial role played by the GCC armed forces in safeguarding the security, stability, sovereignty, and achievements of member states, as well as ensuring the safety of their citizens and residents. He highlighted their high efficiency, readiness, and professionalism, particularly in countering recent Iranian attacks, which demonstrated the strength and integration of the Gulf defence system. His Majesty emphasized that an attack on any GCC state is considered an attack on all member states.
The chiefs of staff expressed their gratitude to His Majesty the King for his guidance and support for joint GCC cooperation across various domains.
