Bahrain and Botswana Forge Diplomatic Ties at UN Headquarters

New york: The Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Botswana signed a Joint Communiqu© establishing diplomatic relations at the United Nations Headquarters. This move underscores their commitment to fostering friendship and cooperation in line with the United Nations Charter and international law.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement was formalized by Ambassador Jamal Fares Alrowaiei, representing the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Ambassador Charles Masole, representing the Government of the Republic of Botswana. Both representatives serve as their countries' Permanent Representatives to the United Nations.

The establishment of diplomatic relations represents a significant step toward strengthening bilateral ties and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest. Both nations emphasized the importance of serving their shared interests and enhancing coordination and consultation in international forums. They aim to broaden bilateral cooperation in support of security, stability, and sustainable development while solidifying the friendly relations between Bahrain and Botswana.
