Manama: Bahrain took part in the third remote meeting of the Advisory Commission of the GCC Supreme Council during its 29th session. Key representatives included Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee at the Council of Representatives, and Hassan Eid Bukhammas, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting addressed several strategic topics. Discussions included a draft report by a committee dedicated to exploring the future strategic approaches of the GCC towards digital currencies. Additionally, there were reports on the impact of digital and technological transformations on GCC labour markets and strategies to reduce conspicuous consumption in Gulf societies. These discussions align with the GCC states' ongoing efforts to adapt to economic, technological, and social changes, aiming to support sustainable development.
Bahrain's participation underscores its dedication to fostering joint GCC initiatives. The country is focused on enhancing cooperation and coordination among member states and contributing to the development of unified Gulf policies.
