Foreign Minister Engages with Future Leaders in PM Fellowship Program

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with participants of the 11th cohort of the Prime Minister's Fellowship Program during their visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Minister emphasized that investing in national talent and equipping them with specialized knowledge and expertise is essential to enhancing government performance and supporting Bahrain's comprehensive development, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also praised the program's role in preparing future government leaders capable of meeting evolving challenges and contributing to the Kingdom's development goals.

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister reviewed the key pillars of Bahrain's foreign policy, including safeguarding the Kingdom's sovereignty, security, and stability, strengthening regional and international cooperation, and advancing Bahrain's interests through its diplomatic missions abroad. He also highlighted Bahrain's current non-permanent membership in the United Nations Security Council and the Kingdom's commitment to promoting peace, human rights, and sustainable development.

The visit included tours of the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies and Al Madar Center at the Ministry, where participants learned about diplomatic training programs, policy analysis, and the technologies used to support diplomatic and consular operations.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the opportunity, noting that the visit enhanced their understanding of Bahraini diplomacy and the Ministry's role in advancing the Kingdom's national interests regionally and internationally.
