Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, received Dr. Andreas Iliades, Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Cyprus continue to develop across various domains.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Khalid highlighted the notable progress in diplomatic engagement between the two countries, reflecting their deep longstanding friendship. He also commended the level of coordination and mutual support in international forums, reiterating Bahrain's support for all efforts aimed at reinforcing security, stability, and peace in the region.
Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah wished the ambassador success in carrying out his diplomatic duties in a manner that contributes to further strengthening bilateral cooperation. The meeting reviewed the latest regional and international developments and underscored several issues of mutual interest.
Discussions also covered means to enhance bilateral cooperation and advance it to more comprehensive levels, particularly in the economic, development, and investment sectors, while expanding coordination in support of shared interests and the prosperity of both friendly countries. For his part, the ambassador expressed appreciation to the Deputy Prime Minister and affirmed keenness to continue working towards achieving the shared visions and aspirations of both countries.
