Chief of Police Leads Royal Academy of Police Scientific Council Meeting


Manama: Lieutenant-General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Police and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Royal Academy of Police, recently chaired a meeting of the Council. The gathering was also attended by Major-General Dr. Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy Chief of Police, and Lt-General Fawaz Hassan Al Hassan, Royal Academy of Police Commander.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Lt-General Al Hassan emphasized the significance of the Council’s role in strengthening the security work system. This aligns with the commitment of General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Academy’s Board of Trustees, to enhance performance levels and achieve institutional excellence through the Academy’s training, educational, and research outcomes.



Lt-General Al Hassan highlighted the need to focus on the quality of outputs across all sections and branches of the Academy. This focus is in line with the requirements of modern security work and aims to raise the efficiency of security personnel while achieving the highest levels of professionalism.



The Council deliberated on ways to ensure the continuous development of training and educational programmes. They also discussed the importance of regularly reviewing and evaluating performance to enhance the effectiveness of approved plans and programmes, with the objective of achieving targeted goals for 2026.



The meeting reviewed the Academy’s key activities during the second half of 2025. Among these was a report on the “AI Game Day 2025” artificial intelligence competition, organized by the Information and eGovernment Authority in cooperation with the Academy. The event targeted around 100 students from various universities across the Kingdom of Bahrain, aiming to promote innovation and develop students’ technical capabilities.
