Finance Minister Highlights Economic Achievements at Diplomatic Forum


Manama: As part of the Diplomatic Forum organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of Bahrain Diplomatic Day, a session was held on Bahrain’s foreign policy and the global economy. The session saw the participation of key figures including Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and other notable ministers.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa reviewed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s significant economic achievements and ongoing efforts to expand economic development. These initiatives align with the comprehensive development process under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.



The Finance Minister highlighted that Bahrain Diplomatic Day exemplifies the Kingdom’s commitment to diplomacy’s role in supporting national development and enhancing Bahrain’s regional and international standing. Shaikh Salman noted that the support of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister has facilitated a diplomatic approach that contributes to economic growth and attracts high-value investment opportunities. He underscored the pivotal role of Bahrain’s diplomatic missions abroad in bolstering national efforts to attract investment and strengthen Bahrain’s position as a preferred economic destination globally.



Shaikh Salman shared that under the vision of the Kingdom’s leadership, Bahrain’s industrial exports have grown significantly, and foreign direct investment has increased substantially. He mentioned the goal to double foreign trade and investment through enhanced partnerships, aiming to accelerate economic growth and generate employment opportunities for citizens.



He also highlighted the sustainable financial and economic policies adopted by Bahrain, noting their positive impact on economic growth and competitiveness. Progress under Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 was discussed, along with plans to develop Bahrain Economic Vision 2050, ensuring sustained progress and prosperity for the Kingdom.



Emphasising the integration of foreign policy and economic strategy, Shaikh Salman reiterated its importance in enhancing Bahrain’s position on the global economic map. The session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, providing an opportunity for heads of Bahrain’s diplomatic missions abroad to engage directly with the Finance Minister.
