Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Ayman Safadi, Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs. The meeting focused on reviewing bilateral relations and exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation in political, economic, and development fields.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministers emphasized the importance of continued coordination in international forums, especially in light of Bahrain's non-permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council. This collaboration aims to support unified Arab positions on issues pertaining to international peace and security.
The discussions also covered significant regional and international developments, addressing the situations in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, and Yemen. The ministers highlighted Arab efforts to mitigate tensions, prevent escalation, and promote a just and comprehensive peace within the region.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Shaikh Abdulla bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations; Shaikh Khalifa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Ambassador to Jordan; Rami Saleh Wreikat Al Adwan, Ambassador of Jordan to Bahrain; and Ambassador Ahmed Mohammed Al Tarifi, Chief of the Arab and African Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
