Shura Council Chairman Engages with Bahrain Businessmen’s Association Members

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, received Ahmed Abdullah Bin Hindi, Chairman of the Board of the Bahrain Businessmen's Association, along with several board members.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh commended the contributions and sustained efforts of the Bahrain Businessmen's Association since its establishment in 2001 in supporting the national economy and strengthening commercial, investment, and development partnerships. He affirmed that the Kingdom enjoys a distinguished economic and strategic position under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the continued attention and support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Al Saleh expressed pride in the comprehensive system of economic and financial legislation and laws in Bahrain, which consolidates its standing as a long-established commercial and economic hub at both regional and international levels. The chairman underscored the important role played by the Association in formulating visions and plans that meet the aspirations of the commercial sector, pointing to the importance of focusing on promising fields, particularly technology and information technology.

He also affirmed the Council's keenness to build bridges of cooperation and communication with various institutions and associations, especially to learn about their views, perspectives, and proposals regarding topics discussed by the Council. For their part, the Chairman and members of the Board of the Bahrain Businessmen's Association thanked the Council for reviewing and discussing economic and financial legislation to support the commercial sector and enhance its role in achieving further growth and prosperity in the Kingdom.

Bin Hindi noted that the Association places great importance on organising activities, events, and programmes that highlight the role of the private sector in supporting the Kingdom's development and progress. He added that the Association is keen to hold coordination meetings with various entities to strengthen cooperation and partnership, expand opportunities for joint work, and support development in the commercial and investment sectors in line with Bahrain's economic vision.
