Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Ambassador Bader Abbas Al Helaibi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Federative Republic of Brazil. The meeting was attended by Abdulnabi Salman Ahmed, First Deputy Speaker; Ahmed Abdulwahid Qarata, Second Deputy Speaker; and Hassan Ibrahim Hassan, member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam commended the bilateral ties between Bahrain and Brazil, emphasizing the importance of supporting parliamentary and investment cooperation between the two nations. He highlighted the need to activate the role of the Bahraini-Brazilian Parliamentary Friendship Group to enhance bilateral partnerships and expand coordination and integration in international forums.
He recognized the efforts of Ambassador Al Helaibi, noting that these have contributed to advancing cooperation, which benefits both countries and their citizens. The ambassador, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Speaker for his support in enhancing cooperation across various domains. Al Helaibi also emphasized the importance of following up on the outcomes of the parliamentary visit by the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Brazil and coordinating diplomatic and parliamentary cooperation to achieve shared objectives.
