Tourism Minister Engages in Key Discussions at Arabian Travel Market Dubai

Dubai: Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, participated in the Arabian Travel Market 2025, held from April 28 to May 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, under the theme "Global Travel: Transforming the Tourism of the Future through Enhanced Connectivity." Al Sairafi highlighted the significance of the exhibition as one of the largest and most important specialised events in the travel and tourism sector both regionally and globally.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the exhibition this year focuses on the future of travel and tourism, specifically the role of communication in shaping its next phase. Al Sairafi underscored Bahrain's dedication to participating in major international events, which aid in promoting tourism and enhancing communication with global stakeholders. The Kingdom aims to highlight its tourism infrastructure, showcase recent developments in the sector, and explore cooperation opportunities with international markets and partners, aligning with the objectives of the 2022 - 2026 Tourism Strategy.

Bahrain's participation includes a pavilion featuring 28 entities from the public and private sectors, such as the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, national carrier Gulf Air, and Exhibition World Bahrain. The pavilion also hosts luxury hotels, resorts, and destination management companies. Spanning 425 square metres, the pavilion presents Bahrain's tourism assets, informing attendees about the latest projects and initiatives, and facilitating bilateral meetings to discuss joint cooperation and exchange sustainable tourism practices.

During the event, the minister met with Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, and Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Heritage and Tourism of the Sultanate of Oman. The discussions centered on cooperation prospects in tourism and the importance of developing partnerships to support tourism development plans in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
