Manama: Rawan bint Najeeb Al Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, announced that the 15th edition of Youth City 2030 has concluded with significant accomplishments, marked by the execution of 343 training programmes that provided over 15,000 training opportunities to 10,547 participants.
According to Bahrain News Agency, this edition was bolstered by 208 partnerships, comprising 190 local and 18 international collaborations. Additionally, the event featured over 250 supplementary activities, engaging 374 volunteers. The Youth Market showcased 96 projects, while the programmes and centers of the city identified 691 young talents and attracted more than 7,000 visitors.
Minister Al Tawfeeqi emphasized the importance of these results, underscoring Youth City 2030's role as a pivotal national platform for nurturing young people's skills, talents, and practical knowledge. She credited the support of leaders such as His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and other key figures for the success of the event.
The Minister highlighted that the 15th edition's achievements were enhanced through the collaboration between national institutions, partners, and sponsors. This cooperative effort expanded the range of programmes and opportunities, aligning them with the aspirations and future needs of the youth.
Looking forward, Minister Al Tawfeeqi expressed that the current results set a foundation for further development in upcoming editions. This includes increasing the number of programmes and training opportunities, as well as broadening local and international partnerships and expertise.
She concluded by noting that the impact of Youth City 2030 extends beyond measurable outcomes, playing a crucial role in developing the skills and talents of young individuals and transforming their ideas into actionable projects and achievements.
